Coronavirus Information
UUA Guidance on Gathering In-Person As the Pandemic Evolves - December 1, 2021
Dear Fellow UU Anaheim Congregants
The current Covid-19 Omicron variant is more contagious than previous variants and frequently overwhelms vaccines and boosters. Many of us who attend in person are comfortable with the risks. Some of us, including some of us who are required to attend in person in order to run our hybrid services, live with people who are at higher risk, even if vaccinated.
In order for us to be able to continue to hold services in person, we’ve made the difficult decision to require all congregants attending services in person to wear a mask. N95 masks are recommended. We request that you join us on Zoom if you are uncomfortable wearing a mask.
Our communal potluck will be put on hold as well. We understand that masking is inconvenient and uncomfortable. The pause in potlucks is disappointing. Everyone is out of patience with this years-long disruption to all of our lives.
We will reassess this decision at our next board meeting on August 21. We look forward to seeing you all here, either in person or virtually, however you are most comfortable. We will inform you by email and on our web site if conditions change again.
Warm regards,
Your UUCA Board of Trustees
