Community Minister

Rev. Rayna Hamre

Rev. Rayna Hamre is very happy to return to UUCA as the congregation's Affiliated Community Minister. She has served as a lay leader, a Director of Religious Education, Membership Coordinator, and Assistant Minister in Orange County/LA area congregations. She is a long-time Unitarian Universalist and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Meadville Lombard Theological School and a MA in History from CSU Fullerton. She has an extensive background in religious history and world religions. Her current social justice activities include membership in the Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council, serving as a sponsor for refugees and English tutor as a Nova Ukraine volunteer, and serving as a member of Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice OC. A UU mystic who teaches the Pagan path, she currently facilitates a UU Pagan book group, Heart's Grove. She also leads ancestor healing work, meditation classes, dream exploration, and provides ritual training as founder and lead teacher of Three Worlds One Heart Mystery School.

In addition to her interfaith and social justice work in the community, Rev. Rayna will also attend SJC/EJM meetings on the 4th Sunday of the month as her schedule allows.
