CHILDREN'S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

The children meet in a separate, securely-locked building adjacent to our main building. There is childcare for young children and classes for school-age children. Kathleen herself is a UU minister.

The programs are chosen from UU material and lead children gently into our philosophy of “Caring hearts, Open Minds and Helping Hands.” The children join us during the first part of the service. There is a “Time for All Ages” during the service and then the children are led out after to their program.

Riley Meyer

Coordinator of Religious Education

I have been a friend of the congregation for the past year, and I am excited to help the kids grow in a Unitarian Universalist environment. I am nineteen years old and a sophomore at Fullerton College, majoring in criminal justice. After receiving my bachelor's degree, I plan to enroll in the Police Academy, with the ultimate goal of working in the field of juvenile corrections. I have always felt joy in helping the community, especially young children, because I know kids are strongly influenced by the world around them. I hope to be a positive influence for the kids at church by teaching them to integrate UU principles into their lives and actions.
