Once again we are at the season of joy and hope that ends each year.
Whether you celebrate Yule, Christmas, or Hanukkah it is a time to
spread love and joy to all around us and to receive good wishes from
others. That’s true for many of us, but not all. It’s well known that
for some this is a very difficult time of year, when sadness is much
more the prevailing emotion than joy. If you have lost a loved one
recently it’s hard to stay joyful, especially in the midst of what seems
to be universal celebration. If you will be alone during the holidays
it’s difficult to watch family gatherings that seem to be everywhere. If
you are suffering from health problems the energy and even the will to
celebrate may be difficult to find. Please know that at UUCA there is a loving community that will welcome you into their midst, listen to your story, and be with you whether in joy or sorrow. Blessed Holidays, Karen |
